Ceramics industry
The standard laboratory furnaces of VMK series in stainless steel casings are very suitable for all studies of raw materials and finished products, for calcining and all thermal production processes. The LM series is fitted with a solid SiC - muffle. The LK series is lined with refractory concrete. The KS-S and VMK-S furnaces are suitable for debindering of CIM parts ( special products for all known bindering systems ), high temperature supra-conductor production under increased oxygen pressure and for soldering of ceramics - metal - compounds.
Chamber furnaces of series KK with a useful volume of upto 4 m3, are available with or without shuttle hearth. Elevator kilns in the series EK upto 1 m3 and 1800 °C for sintering of electro- and technical ceramics. Continuous Roller Pusher Furnace with a channel length of upto 8 m, for production of ceramics.
HT-high temperature-laboratory furnaces designed for all calcination processes, burn / sintering trials, laboratory shock tests, pilot products or production. Our products offer particular advantages in production of special ceramics with high temperature - vacuum and / or protective gas furnaces. Typical applications are for production of ferrites, piezo ceramics, condenser ceramics, ceramic carriers for IC's, for thick layer technology with high demands to temperature stability, spark plug insulators or materials of high temperature resistance for refractories industry. Bio ceramics, transparent ceramics or other special ceramic materials, which require special furnace atmospheres (hydrogen or oxygen) can be treated in this range of furnaces. The standard program includes versions with chamber overpressure upto 6 bar. In addition to all this the Heatlab is available which will allow up to 100 bar (upon request).
Linn's Microwave furnaces can be used for sintering, melting, vitrifying, de-bindering, drying adhering and heating. Microwave chamber MHTD for sintering processes. Continuous microwave belt furnace MDBT and Microwave Multilab are used in drying of powder, granulates and ceramics.
A high temperature - roller kiln with sapphire rolls can be offered for continuous processes at 1800 °C.
Applications are special sintering processes and high temperature soldering.
Tube furnaces FRH, FRHT, FRV and FRVT, 1- and 3-zone operation, for tensile-, bending and fracture tests of ceramic test bodies, available in the following designs: standard, split-type, tilting in horizontal / vertical position. Top technology: high temperature - rotary tube furnaces for production, heat treatment, calcining, etc., up to a length of 3,5 m, 700 °C to 1900 °C.
Fusion systems Lifumat 1,2 Table-Ox, 2,0 Ox and Lifumat-4,0-Semi-Ox for perfect sample preparation for XRF/RFA, AAS, ICP, fusions of materials, for quality assurance, receipt control of ceramic materials or finished ceramic goods. High frequency generators HTG are suitable for soldering of metal ceramics - compounds e.g. copper bolts on aluminium ceramics with active solders, nickel interlining for MDH - reactors or NTC/PTC ceramics with silver coating on metal plates for electrical preheating carburetors etc. LINN was the first company in Europe to build a VHT - furnace for temperature up to 2100 °C under oxidizing atmosphere for production and research of new high temperature oxide ceramics.
